The Guizzo Winery in Guia is a historic winery that has been linked to the cultivation of vines for over a hundred years. The passion for the land and for work turned into a business in 1925, when grandfather Angelo Guizzo founded the Guizzo Winery in Guia.
The Guizzo family, through care and passion and by focusing on innovation, has succeeded in obtaining high quality wines. If we take a look at the past, we find awards that attest to the quality of Guizzo Winery‘s wines.
Guizzo Winery produces its wines and sparkling wines using grapes from the hills surrounding Guia, where the climate is ideal for growing Prosecco vines. The Guizzo family’s vineyards, such as Senta and Molere, are characterised by rich but demanding soils that require hard work and a lot of passion.

This Sur Lie sparkling wine embodies the story and tradition of Valdobbiadene second bottle-fermentation wine since its origins, it has always been bottled in the spring and left to referment in the bottle for a couple of months, to become a sparking wine with residues it is essential to decant it in order to separate it from the yeast before serving it dry with a particularly fruity aroma and hints of bread crust: an easy to drink wine excellent for any mealtime. The name ‘Senta’ comes from the name of one of our Senta vineyards. The meaning of this word “Sentà” in the local dialect in Veneto is “Sitting”. We associate this name Senta to our wine, because the wine surlie needs to be sitting in the bottle for 2/3 month before selling.
