Description

The Guizzo Winery in Guia is a historic winery that has been linked to the cultivation of vines for over a hundred years. The passion for the land and for work turned into a business in 1925, when grandfather Angelo Guizzo founded the Guizzo Winery in Guia.

The Guizzo family, through care and passion and by focusing on innovation, has succeeded in obtaining high quality wines. If we take a look at the past, we find awards that attest to the quality of Guizzo Winery‘s wines.

Guizzo Winery produces its wines and sparkling wines using grapes from the hills surrounding Guia, where the climate is ideal for growing Prosecco vines. The Guizzo family’s vineyards, such as Senta and Molere, are characterised by rich but demanding soils that require hard work and a lot of passion.

2021 Padre Rinnegato Spumante Brut Nature

PADRE RINNEGATO is a Spumante Brut Nature with re-fermentation in the bottle. This Spumante is intended as a tribute to those who in the early 1900s started the history of our family. It was precisely by retracing our family’s steps of yesteryear that we decided to faithfully reproduce the bottles produced by Angelo Guizzo ‘pioneer’ in Valdobbiadene in 1933. The main characteristic of this wine is its simplicity. The base chosen after the harvest is never filtered and thanks to this we can maintain the natural yeasts that will later contribute to the re-fermentation of the wine in the bottle. A single annual bottling takes place in March to obtain the optimal thermal climatic conditions that will accompany fermentation until there is zero residual sugar. Staying on the lees will give additional character to this sparkling wine, which will be dry and delicate with an excellent minerality that comes from our grapes grown in Guia di Valdobbiadene. The perlage is fine and elegant and the glaze given by the yeast deposit gives an additional bread crust tone.It is a wine for the few, it is a wine for those who want to taste our history with the sensitivity of letting themselves be carried away by the naturalness of a wine made as in 1933.
