Description
Salvadori Chianti DOCG Villa Silvia ‘Basket’ is a traditional Italian offering. Salvadori is one of the few producers to still use the traditional hand-woven straw basked called a ‘fiasco’ or flask. Red ruby tending to garnet with ageing, fine nose, the taste is intense and persistent, its structure is large and with a great balance. It has an intense summer bouquet of red fruits with a hint of violets.
WINE MAKING AND AGEING:
Fermentation with maceration (skin contact) of about 20 days, held at temperatures between 25 and 28°C. Malolactic fermentation completed in stainless steel tanks.
